Food for Zhytomyr
A project in ZHYTOMYR, UKRAINE and surrounding areas.
This project provides food for people at risk in Zhytomyr state. Project is led by a pastor and his family who have served the people in this area for decades. Their service has expanded exponentially since the full Russian invasion began.
The invasion has created an almost immediate supply chain breakdown and stores are simply out of food. And it is not being restocked. Many of those served by this project are in small villages where there will not be food for a long time – even after the larger cities are able to begin to move food into the market. Another issue is that companies that produce and process food are not working at all.
Many families served by this project have children or adults with significant disabilities. Life for these families was already difficult. It became nearly impossible when the invasion began.
Also served by this project – Ukrainian soldiers who are in and out of the area who have no food provisions.
100% of the funds given to this project will go straight to the purchase of food. All labor for this project is volunteer.
